welll i haven't tried it actually before the boss was killed, but i pretty sure it will work even if boss is alive, and may save you bunch of time, if you are good at wall jumping.

Yeah... Very nice and very handy. So you can manage the 3rd time event without dealing with these stupid mob groups! And when someone jumps the wrong way down for reseting this encounter he will not need a port anymore!

Works great, did it last night and to save time had everyone in raid remove gear and wipe at base of stairs. After mobs reset I jumped up to stairs and BR a Priest and we got everyone up since the Summoning dosn't work in ZA anymore. Be careful with tauren their aggro range is a bit more I guess due to there size. Everytime we res'd a Tauren they aggro'd the boss and got one shot they had to move down a bit more on the stairs. My guild used this yesterday. It works, but it's far easier to clear the trash then to wait/res/kill people off.
