Kill opposing faction in a duel

My hunter friend and I (both horde) were messing around Outside Ironforge the other day when a low level 8 came up and started Emoting to us. We didn't think much about it, but my friend being the a-hole he is decided to challenge him to a duel.

The lowbie accepted the duel and my friend began to mess with himby trapping etc. Finally when my friend was going to finish him off, he dropped a snake trap which killed the lowbie instantly. It killed him as if it was a real fight and not a duel.

My friend was like "Whoa! Did you know he would die?"

Now, my first assumption would be the lowbie attacked my friend before the duel started therefore flagging himself for pvp in this non-contested zone. This however was not the case because when the lowbie came back to rez (maybe 30 seconds later) he was not flagged for pvp.

So my friend actually killed this lowbie alliance with the snake trap, and he was not flagged for pvp anytime except for in the duel.

I know killing lowbies isn't always that fun, but i think it's great if they don't expect to die, but just to lose a duel. Also, maybe if your dueling a person your level and you dominate them, then you can drop a snake trap to try to finish them off somehow and make them die instead of lose duel.

I hope this hasn't been posted as I would love to get out of leecher status.

    Hope you guys enjoy.

I appreciate the effort, but there are several "snake trap kills lowbies" posts in the exploit section, including the repost 2 hours before yours.

    Your day will come.

Snake traps are bugged, and most likely he was killed because of this. Some people go to lowbie area's and on purpose put the traps down to kill the lowbies. Blizzard is aware of this and it will be fixed in one of the upcoming patches i believe But for now it's fun
