Solo Hydross, warlock. HOW to pull.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen the warlock soloing hydross from ssc on retail.
If not just youtube it. Anyways, in the video he does not show how to pull. I think the reason for this is you just can't solo pull him. There are adds that spawn and pat around him so sending a pet in will just get you some aggro from them and not to mention when the encounter starts he will walk over the line transition into nature forum and spawn for powerful adds.

Last night I happened to get an instance ID where lurker was killed so I as a warlocks I decided to try it out. After not being able to do the pull I came up with this solution.

We took a rogue, resto shammy, hunter, myself, and an affliction lock. The rogue and myself kill the adds who spawn and pat around hydross and when the platform is clear the hunter misdirected onto the affliction warlock. Hydross would transition and spawn his 4 adds which would aggro the hunter while hydross would run towards the warlock who was ready to kite. The hunter would FD and the adds would just stop moving and just stay where they spawned.

We tried helping the warlock who was kiting the boss BUT, you can because hydross will shoot out a poison bolt the the person 2nd highest on aggro, this will kill you.

So if you want to try it yourself thats how I did the pull hope this helps.

You can pull him allone with your imp..when the fb is thrown on the boss,the adds will attack him...then he dies...the adds before you can kill too,with the boss

We had a few locks give this a shot last night. Unfortunately, they fixed the pathing, so Hydross can no longer be kited according to the video.
