Killing opposite faction guards. [Shammy or Mage]

I've looked this up and I can't find anything, so here it goes, it's not really an exploit, but i think it's more of an exploit than a guide.

What you do is, with your shammy, or mage, put on a shield, one that attacks someone hitting you. Lightning shield or fire shield. You then go up to a guard and he will take the shield damage, but you won't get flagged. So you can kill the guards without getting flagged. I think this is better for shaman, simply because they can heal, and wear mail.

If it's been posted before just delete the topic XD.

I hope this helps some people.

This makes a lot of sense. O.o

How are we supposed to do damage? Just stand by the guard with our shield? That sure never worked for me...

You put on the shield, Fire or Lightning, and let the guard attack you, he'll eventually die.

Currently this doesn't work at all on Retail (RP and PvE). Pally Ret Aura and Shaman Lighting shield both cause the player to flag themselves. Although on private PvE servers (lol) It could work.

Pretty sure it still works with a priest's Touch of Weakness. I reported it a long time ago because I felt it was completely useless and have since then switched to a PvP server, so I can't confirm if it still works with this spell.

    Could easily be wrong.

That might explain it, i'm on a PvE server :8:

And i'm guessing, on a PvE server a thorium shield spike would work.

EDIT: Didn't notice you saying private PvE.

It works for me, Skywall server. Lightning shield procs on the guard when he hits you, but you don't flag. I'll go test it out again.

Druid's "Thorns" + "Nature's Grasp" (balance talent spell) both do this - the guards will take damage, and you will not get flagged.
Is currently working on Retail PvE!
I play on the Arathor-EU Server, btw.
