World Quest "Strange Egg" currently bugged (Massive Skinning Farm)

There is no way to complete the quest at this time, it just keeps resetting. when you investigate the egg, 2 waves of raptors and the quest monster will spawn.
After you kill him, dont leave area, wait ~30 seconds~ or so and then the quest will reset (you can investigate egg again)

1. Kill everything
2. Skin everything (will be about 10-15 corpses)
3. Wait few seconds. By time youre done skinning, the egg will respawn
4. Repeat

In 5 minutes, i got many scales, and about 100 blood stained bones

EDIT: Even if you complete the quest, you can still keep investigating the egg, redoing the encounter.
After 45 minutes with my ret pally:
632 calcified bone
503 blood stained bone
749 shimmerscale

On my server, only blood stained bone si worth selling, it would average out around 75-100k/hr
You can sell off the blood stained bones and bank the rest, hope the prices will stabilize, or blizz makes more recipies or sinks to get rid of the ridiculous supply of calcified bones and scales

I finished the quest today, you just have to not kill the named mob until the egg spawns again then click egg and kill mob.

I see. thanks for explaining. Either way if you finish the quest, you can investigate the egg again, and keep doing it. So it's all good

Im sure its both. I seen a bunch of Alliance players doing the quest as well when i was farming (Althugh i am Horde)

If only blood stained bones is worth selling, wtf are blood stained bones selling for? Only 20g on my server so .. ~10k/hour farm

True, the quest might have been hot fixed, but you can still keep using the egg even without the World Quest active. So i guess not really an exploit then.
