Increased ilvl on BFA Beta
So Blizzard finally enabled Character copy to the Battle For Azeroth Beta, now this is comming with the stat/ilvl nerf as well. This mean that a 920 ilvl geared character will now be roughly 200 ilvl.
Now to the "exploit" part. If you deposit your items into the Void storage on live, and log out. Now log on to the Beta servers, import the account data once more. Now make a copy of your butt-naked character and take your items out of the void storage, when you place them into the void storage on live it strip the bonus IDs on the item. When you then copy the character to the beta, it seem to reapply them in some sense.
Seems to be somewhere around a 25% ilvl increase.
Happy beta testing!

Edit: After checking quite a few items, it seems to only be the mythic plus items giving bonus ilvls

I tried with a 985 ilvl item on live, stayed 265 ilvl on beta.
Edit: After checking quite a few items, it seems to only be the mythic plus and relinquished items giving bonus ilvls

While it all may seem "random" which items it is, I think I found the reason. When you add the item into the void storage on live, it will not have any bonus IDS.
Lets say the item was a 920 that titanforged into a 950. On beta that should be 230 ilvl if not mistaken. What I believe happens is when you copy the character, it changed those bonus ID's, and somehow reapply the titanforging once more.
Doing /dump "[item]" also support this.

Except that a 940 mythic 15 item is getting boosted, I didn't find any mythic or heroic items getting boosted. However, I did find that relinquished gear was getting boosted too.

hmm, a 940 mythic 15 item.. That is probably also "titanforged" in some ways, or at least the bonus ID's applied to it. When you put it into the void storage, the game will still remove the bonus ids. Try /Dump "item" while you have it inside the void storage compared to outside. Not sure what triggers it then, but I've had it happen on level 101 items as well.
