    Re: lockbox exploit

Couldnt you use this exploit to level lock-picking over and over on one lockbox, if mailing it closes it again? Or maybe put it on auction house after you unlocked it, cancel auction and do it again?

I don't understand..are you saying it gets mailed back closed?

My friend's main opens boxes for me all the time. He unlocks them ..and mails them to me. They're opened.

    Is there something I'm missing?

    Re: lockbox exploit

When a rogue performs lockpicking on a box, it gets unlocked, not opened. By opened, he is referring to when it's right clicked, and its' contents are displayed. Basically, while it's open, you can mail it to an alt, and it will close it without looting it, so you could then sell the closed box, unlocked, on the AH or over trade if you don't like what's in it. I hope that was a little easier to understand.

I think what he is trying to say is "Plz help me im getting an F in English."

Jk i understood what you said kind of, i think what you meant is, if you get a lock box and do not like what is inside, you can mail it to a alt and just sell it on the AH. Although i doubt people go on the AH to buy lock boxes but w/e.

    Translation:
A while ago my friends sent me lock boxes that they wanted opened. So when I opened them I sent it to them through the in-game mailing system unlocked. However when they received them they were closed. After talking to a GM I discovered that when you send them to a person after they are unlocked, then they become re-locked. Basically if you don't like whats in your box, send it to an alt and then have the alt re-send it and new loot will be in it so long as you didn't loot it.
Did this help for a few people?
    +Rep to this guy.

    Yeah,
You can ulock the box and see whats inside without actually looting it. The box doesn't lock after you unlock it. I have unlocked a box with a bop blacksmithing mat inside and gave it to a guildmate. The mat in the box didn't bind until it was actually looted from the box itself.

When I did that the blacksmithing pattern disappered :S I putted the box in the trade window and then I cancelled and there was a green BoE item their instead.

    Re: lockbox exploit

I'm a rogue and all my friends send me lockboxes ingame to open (Ohh joy... -.-")
I unlock them look whats inside then resend the box with the item in it, It does not get relocked.
