Sounds to me like he is describing a way to open it without looting.......well thats not exactly hard just hold shift (or dont hold shift if your not an autolooter) then press Esc to close the treasure window without collecting anything

Also lockbox contents NEVER changes no matter how many times its mailed or opened. Quest reward boxes however will change (for example Curego's Treasure in taranis)

I found this problem to, a friend opened some boxes for me then when they arrived back, lock again!!

He's saying this:

Grind some Khorium/Eternium lockboxes yourself, open them but don't loot the item in it, if there's a cheap green inside, keep the opened box somewhere in your bank.

When a friend sends you a lockbox to open through the mail, you check what's inside, and if it's a blue/epic you keep it for yourself, and send your friend the lockbox with the cheap green in it.
