It still works, but you need to actually do a chunk of damage to teremus to tag him. I kited him a couple times using only rank 1 serpent sting (immune to it, but keeps him following), and got no loot when he died. The next times I used aimshot + multishot to pull, then an extra multishot or arcane shot every once in a while when I could spare the mana. Easy loot at the end.

It is possible to solo kite it, but it is VERY tricky -- moreso than artorius. You need to stay at 40 yards away while kiting, and when he begins to cast his soul consumption (shadowflame looking thingy), you need to stop shooting and take off running because it has a 45 yard range. If you can't make it out of range in time, switch to aspect of the monkey right before he casts it to make sure you don't lose distance.

The easiest way to do this is with 2 people, a hunter and a priest. Kite using whatever method you like best, and have the priest shield you right before the shadowflame. It will absorb all the damage, and you won't get dazed. If you accidently get hit, have them pop a renew on you. Just make sure to do enough damage to teremus so that you're above them on the aggro list.

I personally have killed teremus this way every day for the past week. I'll probably cut down on it though because of reports of people getting banned for it. You'd think that if they didn't want it going to stormwind, they'd leash it to the blasted lands like Kazzak or the servants of allistarj.

but today with some dps its ok ^^

it's not the dmg that gets you the loot, you have to keep attacking him every once in a while while he's on Bolvar to get the loot

But how did you keep sting on when he is immune? it wouldnt even keep him tapped.

Me and a guildy of my twink did this yesterday, it worked well :P
We used arcane shot rank 1 to pull him, with an occasional rank 1 distracting shot

The only problem is his fire attack, that has a 40 yard AOE all around him

Just make sure you have your camera turned around looking for this, and when you see the fire in his mouth, turn on monkey (or any other aspect) then when you get hit for the damage, back to cheetah

My hotbar had:

1-Arcane shot rank 1
2-Distracting shot rank 1
3-Aspect of the monkey
4-Aspect of the cheetah

and it worked well


BTW: Where in the rules is it that you can get banned for this....

Alright, not editing my last post to get this bumped:

I went and asked a GM whether or not you can get banned for this, and he responded with YES, due to it was "griefing"

How you grief people that have the option to NOT get griefed, is beyond me (their's nothing MAKING them attack the monster running by), and when i brought up "Griefing? Doesn't it say clearly that griefing is NOT against the rules, along with corpse camping and such?

Responded with corpse camping is allowed on PVP realms (i have no idea wtf either), and with that "world bosses aren't meant to be brought to cities"...

So i asked "So.... what about the Onyxian Guards? They're... already in SW so.."

And quoted EXACTLY (have the screenshot)

The messages also took about 45 seconds of me asking to get a responce, and got the responce of "slow typer", but it seems more like somone that doesn't know how to copy and paste, or look for what is actually allowed on whatever it is they use... (i have no idea, they don't seem like very un-copied and pasted messages though)

Make your own opinion... doesn't seem like GMs enforce this rule highly anyway

when i was lvl39 on server Eldre'Thalas *very good server!* i think it was afte nerf, some guys pulled Teremus the devourer to SW keep and he mutilated bolvar we had some horde ther that day lol

Yeah, and who did you hear this from?

Probably from the hunter that uses one arcane shot then runs away, then looks back and notices they ran off and goes "OH EM GEE, ME NO KITE NEMOR"

Then he says it in guild and you get a whole ton of noobs that dont know WTF they're talking about spreading junk that's not even true that they didn't try.
