T18 Set bonuses work in EN

This log has been floating around my guild for the past few hours: Warcraft Logs - Combat Analysis for Warcraft

This ret paladin casted two back to back Crusades (Avenging Wrath), by wearing two T18 pieces for the set bonus.

He did 547k dps...

Its obvious this works for ret, hopefully other classes as well!

I am not sure the tier 18 bonus that adds two wings usages what is adding so much damage.
It seems like something else is going on.

no all set bonuses from prior tiers are now deactivated to stop exactly things like this.

They must have forgot to update it after we all left HFC.

This is going to be changed next hotfix/patch guaranteed.

You get benefit from tier bonus-switch gear to current gear. The set bonus needs to be something which persists through a gear switch.

Btw The 4P T18 bonus is also a significant dps boost, Possibly he used that also, which would explain the extra dps ashbringer referred to.

Just checked he used shoulders and gloves t18. He has also 3 retribution buffs which is 20% dmg increase for 20 (?)sec when someone die, 3 mights, 2 pots.

seems like potion is a big factor into his dps if u look at the logs tho

Insane paladin damage on mythic nythendra isnt from set bonuses. It is a bug with the encounter causing permanent damage increases for paladins after a wipe. As far as I know no one knows how to duplicate it, but if you look at the logs for all the top DPS on mythic Nythendra you will see that at the start of the night they are doing normal DPS and as wipes continue ret paladins are doing higher and higher damage. It may have something to do with the Retribution passive and mind controls.

Funny because the Developers thought that back in the day with Tier14-15 switch. People addressed the issue of Tier14 Paladin Set being superier to T15 and developers snidely replied that T15 gave so good stats it would be better even without set bonuses.

Fast forward to T15 release, some weeks later the T14 Set got the Ghostcrawler 50% nerfbat.



Also: LV100 Set bonuses are working as intended. Only LV90- sets got their bonuses removed (Some are ridiculous likepermanent Doomguard which deals more damage)

Sometimes possible to carry the effects of the set bonus through a port even when it can't be activated in the raid itself.
