Not really an exploit, but seems like someone somehow found a bug with summoning a NPC and use it on Dalaran

They are all undead, maybe it is linked to Death knight and their ability to mind control undeads?

Look at this post further down: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...one-rogue.html (Make a mob invincible to everyone as rogue)

Essentially outlaw rogues are bribeing huge undead, flying to old dalaran and then they glitch out a short while later.
Some extremely hot girls I bribed to advertise my youtube channel:

I just tried this on my rogue and bribeing undeads does not work, you can only bribe humanoids, Perhaps theres another glitch with dk control undead using the same technique

Ok ill explain how i do it as a DK just find undead (prefer a creature who can walk)use spell control undead
Then escort him so that you position yourself directly underneath dalaran while still on the ground
Then fly directly straight up fast as you can, once you hit the bttm of dalaran just fly until you can land on the edge
Make sure your hugging the bttm rock stuff until you land on the edge and bingo your creature will instantly pop up
    next to you,
Then just position him were you want and log off and back on and he will stay there
then go grab your next one

P.S Also found a way to grab multiple creatures and get myself to stormwind with them
ill share that on monday as im going to drag heaps to SW on sunday on oci

Bribe does work on many undead. I managed to bribe Venya Marthahand (level 1 undead who can't be killed) in Death Knell, I was trying to get her down to Stormwind for some fun, but I can't get her past the 105 guards who one-shot you (suggestions appreciated).

That said great find with control undead, I didn't know they changed the mechanic.

That is because that the forsaken are classified as humanoids in the game like all other player races.

I had some fun with bribe by having a booty bay auctioneer follow me around giving me constant auction house access. Also bribed the inkeeper but he will not let me set my hearthstone but he will sell me goods.

Yeah though bribe works on some scourge mobs also for some reason (i don't mean cult of the damned).

Great find with the ah, max rep.

I should add that these bugged mobs will try to attack PvP flagged players but not doing any damage, will also run after that player forever. However if the mob naturally have the pvp tag like most horde/alliance npcs and booty bay guards then they will do damage and will be able to be killed.

    Edit Update:
You can make the mob follow other characters by turning your pvp on and getting it to attack you, then you turn your pvp off on the char you want the mob to follow.. The mob will follow the target it attacked in the same way like the person that charmed it. With this way you can log another char and pick up mobs you left somewhere. You can also have several follow you at the same time.

So, since the aforementioned instructions are sort of vague/somewhat confusing (on how to use Control Undead for Death Knights), I'll help list them out. It's important to know that you can normally only do this one at a time, though when your mobs "glitch" out (see below), you can have multiple following:

    1) Journey to Icecrown or any zone in Northrend inhabited by an undead creature that you'd like to bring to Dalaran (I went to Icecrown and grabbed Thexal Deathchill and the Pustulent Horrors atop the Decrepit Flow)

    2) Control the creature using Control Undead

    3) Fly/run/whatever LOW to the ground (do not fly high in the air, as you risk breaking the control too early) to the Violet Stand, right under Dalaran. You don't have to take a direct path; you can have your controlled creatures teleport onto hilltops and the mountains, so it'll follow you down the mountain-side when flying over it. Just be sure to stay close to the ground/physical mountain itself.

    4) Begin to fly directly upwards while keeping an eye on your undead creature beneath you. As you fly up, it will eventually vanish from the screen and break out of control, but a second later, it will re-appear on the screen, hostile, however will not be attacking anything and still appear to be your pet ("glitched out")

    5) Once you reach the city after flying up, land on the ground so that your "glitched out" pet teleports up to you. You'll see it is still hostile and target-able, however it will not be able to take damage, as you'll receive an error saying "Target is friendly."

    6) Your pet will now follow you throughout Dalaran and will not be attacked by any guards or be able to be attacked by other players

    7) If you want it to stop following you so that it stands still in the spot its in, simply log out of the game and log back in; the pet will no longer follow you but will remain in its spot for some time, then will automatically reset to its regular pathing sequence from wherever you found it!

If your creature "glitches out" prior to reaching the Violet Stand or Dalaran, it will either continue following you or attempt to run back to its regular pathing point, however, when you return to the area where you got it, that same "glitched out" creature will often times just be seen running back towards you, albeit it a bit slower than a regular pet does when controlled by you. So, while that's happening, you can control another creature and theoretically have two or more at once, though the "glitched out" ones won't do anything other than follow you.

The title of this thread is slightly misleading, but I'm sure the OP simply didn't know where the enemies come from since they do have the same models of those in ICC; you cannot however control an undead creature in ICC and zone out; most NPCs are immune to it in there, but otherwise they'd simply disappear.

So far, I've successfully had this work with:

    - Thexal Deathchill
    - Pustulent Horror
    - Bone Guard
    - Frostbrood Matriarch (in Icecrown) & Reconstructed Frost Wyrm (beneath Naxxramas in Dragonblight) - to perform this with the flying creatures, bring them over to the Violet Stand, dismount, use the "Stay" command on a spot, run out of sight so that your control over the creature breaks, run back to automatically gain control of the now "glitched out" creature, then fly up while it follows you

It DID NOT work with Thrym however from Zul'Drak, as badass as that would have been.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT #1: Thanks to istnuk for clarification on doing this with the frost wyrms.

To get the flying mobs to dalaran you need to be on ground level first, make your pet stay somewhere with the commands and then simply run away from it until control breaks and you will have your glitched out pet that follows you then you can just fly up to dalaran with it as it is a flying mob .
Also don't mount up before the control breaks as the mob will begin to follow you again.
