Accelerating duration items

Hey!
Found out recently that its possible to accelerate items with durations that becomes other items after a certain time like Cask of Aged Dalaran Red - Item - World of Warcraft which takes a year to complete, after a year it becomes Cask of Peaked Dalaran Red - Item - World of Warcraft which increases its value since you'll have to wait a year for it to work.

How it Works
You simply have to buy some Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper - Item - World of Warcraft and wrap your desired item into it, for some reason having it inside the wrapped gift causes the duration to go down alot faster than it should.

This might have potential with other types of items that like this wine casket. Sadly you cannot wrap the Oracles egg inside the gift since its soulbound.

Honestly im not 100% sure, right now its at 256 days, so ill check again tommorow at the same time!

Yesterday it was 256 days, and now suddenly its at 151 days, i did nothing unsual yesterday but 3v3s, so this gift wrapping has some really weird mechanics when it comes to accelerating times!

I'm not able to replicate this-any one else?

Experiment: purchase cask, wrap, wait one hour. Duration remains at 365 days.

Looks like there is something else causing the duration to accelerate.

But you must wrap it really tight, no air allowed in

OK, I got it working.

Experiment: wrap cask, log-out, next day I logged in duration had gone down 50 days or so.

Nice play and max rep, though not trivial to make vast amounts of cash with this in the current enviroment due to all the gold inflation.

the timer goes down ~5 days each time you relog. i did 100 days at a time, took a few minutes each time.

if the timer expires while the item is wrapped, it'll turn into the Cask of Peaked Dalaran Red (doesn't bug out, so you don't have to worry about running over the end of the timer).
