Minor Gold Gem Profit

Hey Guys! Just thought i should throw this out there, maybe i wasnt looking hard enough, but i couldnt find this posted anywhere, well all of the old bc epic gems from sunwell,black temple, and hyjal etc. used to be worth 5gold, then they got nerfed down to silver (20 i think), however if you need some pocket change or a quick 100g go farm a couple, find a jc friend who can craft the cuts, not sure if its the scales of sand rep 1s or the shattered sun offensive 1s, either way 1 of those lets you craft the gems with the recipe you learn and can be vendor for 6g which is a lot more than 20 or so silver and they are pretty easy to obtain, while i dont think this is intended due to the nerf on the bc gems,its a good way to earn a quick G! farm mobs and reset find a friend with the pattern craft make 6g per gem! hope this helps

ps. the epic gems being crimson spinel,seaspray emerald etc for the people who didnt know them!

It's a good way to make some extra gold, yep, but the cast time for each cut it long (6 seconds, if I remember correctly) Perfect for the guy/girl who sports a dual monitor configuration and has a Netflix subscription (or Kodi+Super Repo)

In addition to your nice contribution, might I add that MANY people will auction these off from anywhere between 1g/each to 4g/each. Some great profits await anyone who was planning on AFKing anyway.

I'm sure it has, but it was news to me.

One thing that definitely has changed is that a lot of us are currently stuck on low pop realms due to wow's declining membership, and vendor farms like this are suddenly a lot more useful.

Btw I seem to recall Asmongold saying people were buying these up for Timewalking and that the price rises on the AH around that event.
