Possibly oneshot all bosses
So earlier today i discovered a possible oneshot-mechanic to oneshot all bosses.
Even though it might require a pretty good computer and great timing.
The Exploit:
Use ring, deal billions of damage, get summoned and oneshot boss.
It's only been tested out with a heartstone atm. and yes, the "explosion" persisted through my garrison HS (standing in Warspear).
So the "possible exploit goes" (since i lost my mage):
Go to storm peaks and do this trick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkN0JtchDSU (Thanks Archveldors)
and spellsteal shit.
Have your raid to summon you within 20 yards of the boss you're supposidly oneshotting
Have the summoning shit ready, and get your spellsteal going high, when you can't get anymore spellsteals, pop your ring and blast the mobs and accept summon, and go to boss.
(this could possibly be done with more than 1 mage doing it in the same raid, using x-realm assist).
GL to those of you who have mages, and for the rest of you, you can test it out with a heartstone etc.

He means instead of carrying the damage via the icecle through the loading screen, u get the spellsteals up, pop your ring kill the mobs via the increased damage and store it into the ring buff. Then get your summon and let the proc blow up the boss. Don't know if you can carry the ringproc through portals though

You can if you're fast enough.

This is kind of possible but not with raid bosses.
There's two difficulties.
1) The ring buff DOES survive a port but not through zones. So you can hearth from draenor to somewhere else in draenor, and the buff will survive.
However, it does not survive across instances. "Instance" includes world zones, draenor, pandaria, northrend, outland, kalimdor and eastern kingdoms
are all separate instances. So a port from northrend to draenor cancels the ring buff.
2) The buff does not calculate overkill damage.
Don't let me put you off this line of thought, it is a good one and there's various things you can do with it. Unfortunately I don't think there is any way to
tweak this so it works on raid bosses.
You can however some fun with this with the world bosses in Draenor. In the case of Nok-karosh at least this is potentially very profitable with a small team.
Horde players might want to look at the exurotos garrison mission quest (6000% dmg).
You can use soul capacitor and the icicles themselves to achieve similar effects. Bliz never really fixed the icicles thing properly.

I used something similar to kill Trade prince donais as a Moonkin. I would kill all the guard mobs and leave only him + few low lvl mobs close to him, I would chnage one trinket for Soul Capacitator, get close to the low lvl mobs and pull them and wait for trinkt to proc, pop all cds and nuke the out of them, 1-2 sec before dmg is released I would use displacer beast to Trade prince donais, hitting him for 24-30mill.
Not sure if you can use the same method to dmg some raid boss that way ( well get summoned infront of the boss )

Thanks for that, it is really interesting. That would make a great video. Max rep to you and Molly for some fascinating ideas.
That would work if the soul capacitor buff travels through zones. I haven't been able to get hold of the item as it is only accessible to classes I have no pve experience with via (at least) normal raiding.
If someone could try porting with the buff it should be easy to work out if this will fly. You don't even have to port into a raid, just port (including hearthing) to another continent and that should tell out whether the buff will survive transit to another instance.

Probably fixed; if things like this goes public, obviously it will be fixed.
There is another exploit, I am trying to find, of course its on private server, however, I doubt anyone was able to reproduce what was done on retail, it involves Hunters, being able to hit 5m+ each time they use arcane shot; spam arcane shot for insane damage, but still looking into this.
But yes this definitely beats LF for groups just to run a dungeon when you can do it your own darn self
-a bit off topic-
As interesting as this is, all I got is the opposite effect whereas you can heal a boss, mob, opposite faction enemy or friendly for 100% of their HP by being within range of them, or heal yourself 80%-100% aka immortality if you are in control of your character.
I am known as The Red Warden, the exploiter and formerly part of the original 8.

1. Right before I pulled small one so i can pop Capacitor on him ( one not close to boss )
2. When I started to nuke the small mob ( I used all the CDs and the ring before i got the Capacitor to proc )
3, When the Capacitor exploded, You can see the dmg it did, if the small mob wasnt up he would have been killed

You should definitely have someone attempt to summon you to a boss to find out, just to be sure.

Amazing post thanks.
The way buffs work now is that the buff countdown doesn't count loading screen time through a port.So if you have 20 seconds of buff left on a port and take 10 seconds to go through a loading screen you'll still have 20 seconds of buff at the end. However, this does not show up visually, which is why buffs often get stuck at 0s forever.
If the soul capacitor buff survived transit then it would be showing up at the other end regardless of loading screen time, so my guess is that it just doesn't zone.
Still, there's a lot to do with this. Did you try Varian/Garrosh?

Sadly I only tried it on Trade Prince since I wanted to try out is it still possible to farm him for gold.
But now as you mentioned I do remember taking ring buff through teleport ( HS ) so I guess it is possible to get capacitor in some way. Perhaps accepting summon when there is 2 sec left on it, if it works it would be possible to ( hard but possible ) pre summon 10 people with that method with all having capacitor proc. With the ring I think I did total of 35-37mill, having 10 people do that would get most of the bosses to <10%

Not possible. It's true you can see the ring animation after you hearth, but it won't hit anything. And the ring does not include over kill. So you couldn't hit a rat for 50 million and then blow up on an hfc boss for 22 million. It's the same mechanic for soul cap, if you receive a summon it will explode the second you get into hfc and will deal no damage, even if something is in range.
