Got a BOE item you equipped, but want it un-soulbound'd?

one GM told me i got exacly 8 item restores left... after that incident every GM i spoke to said " a GM told you that you have 8 restores? hmmm weird they arent supposed to... " lol - and it was my first restore so i would guess you have 8-9 restores total.

I tried this with a 'server transfer' too. I sold my epic, changed server, then requested it back. It came back to me soulbound...so yeah, dont work.

edit: well, I got three items restored. But one used up one of my character restores. Next GM I ticketed for a restoration of a tanking necklace quest reward told me I'd used up my restores and I should be more careful.

lol wtf? This is so ancient of an exploit/scam, that I think I knew about it before I even joined the site. Nice if you're new to the game to find this out, but it's almost become common knowledge of WoW.

It's true that this can happen.I sold all my items to a vendort(cause i quited wow)and then i asked from a gm to get them back and the Cobrascale Hood was BoE and not soulbound What is more i de all my items in my other char and got 21 Large Prismatic Shard But i got my items back in this char too so i had a profit

that works i did it awhile ago =) Got the epic healin mace from kara so i sold the 1H epic from AH dont rember name level 70 epic sells for around 1-3kgold and got it back =)

I actually asked a gm about this a while ago when i accidently deleted an item and had it restored.

i noticed it was boe again and not soulbound when i asked the gm answered that if the item was originally a boe it gets restored that way because thats how the item was originally (since you would lose any enchant that would have been on it also)

he also said that wouldnt be the case with items obtained in raids since you recieve them already soulbound.

I have had well over 20 restores on my account alone... There possibly is a limited number for stupid shit like selling it to a vendor and logging off or DE'ing the item. But legitimate means that it happens is not limited.

I have had my enchanting rod restored at least 10 times, and a few other things I didnt mean to delete/sell. Probably about 20-25 restores on my account and they never question it.
