free CM on other acc / same bnet

I wanted to make a post about this some time ago, but somehow I never did it. This may have been fixed by now and/or was a once-only bug. I'll still share it, maybe somebody can make it "work" again.
We took a friend of mine along on a 8/8 CM Gold boost when something weird happened (2nd july).
He has multiple accounts on the same bnet and was online with two of them.

He played his horde mage, who already had grimrail depot, therefor we boosted him 7/8 gold - EU.
At the same time, he was online with his alliance mage character on the other account.
And guess what - he got all the achievements on his alliance mage too, while AFKing in garrison.

And NO, we're not stupid, it's not the acc-shared thingy - it said the name of the alliance mage on its achievement, as if he completed it on both legally.
We couldn't check, if he can buy the weapon, because he's missing one dungeon, which we didn't do (as the horde one already had it).

TLDR:
- Have two accounts on same battle.net
- be online on both at the same time (same class / other faction ?)
- complete CM gold on one
- get free character-related(!) achievement on the other

What exactly is the benefit of getting the CM achievement on two characters? And also, I believe this is intended, since dual accounts on the same battle.net share all pets/mounts/achievements.

Some rewards are character specific, others are account wide.
Which means, completing 8/8 CM Gold on your main will reward you with stuff that every other character can use too and rewards, which only your main can use.
account-wide: mount
character specific: transmog weapon, portal to each dungeon, title

And no, this can't be intended, because again, some rewards are CHARACTER-SPECIFIC, aka you have to complete CM on every character you want it on.
Like other achievements, it may seem completed, but hovering over the actual achievement, it should tell you, which character achieved it + date.
In my friend's case, his achievements tell him, that he completed CM gold on both mages respectively - at the same time.

Same was back in MoP - [example] completing CM Gold on your druid allowed you to buy the druid transmog gear, but didn't unlock the gearset for your priest.

there's no such thread because it doesn't work
you only get the teleport spells and cannot buy the transmog weapons (already tried this months ago).

Dude, please post only stuff that works here, okay? Rumors and stuff that does no longer work and still gets posted as "possibly works", things like Raof did, is just annoying. Annoying because one gets hope, tries and then sees that it does no longer work. Wasted time. I am sure you understand.
