If you restore deleted Items from your Battle.net, you don't have to pay for them in the mailbox. Although my battle.net said: xxx amount of dust and crystals is needed.

I just restored 30 Items, which were disenchanted in my Garrison and I was able to disenchant them again. (I don't have disenchant profession)

So if you disenchant 50 Items and get a temporal crystal ~100g, you can restore those 50 Items again and disenchant them again to get those crystals again.

I just talked with a GM and he told me "It's intended, in the past we restored them for free, too"

Last time I used the restore I had to have the mats that I disenchanted the item to begin with.

Did something change or am I not understanding this?

UPD: just got a new idea. Lets say there is a rare item that can be disenchanted for smth expensive with low % chance, maybe it's possible to "reroll" disenchant with this method

The best method i thought of was using this after a new xpac or big patch with new disenchant mats, because those mats are usually most expensive around that time

Had some mats with me and went ahead with the DE'd items, got everything mailed to me, but the mats disappeared from my inventory.

How is this supposed to be done?

AFAIK the intended way is that the GMs take away your DE stuff.
However, some GMs maybe new/fail and not aware of it so they just generate your old items again for you.
Hence the contradicting statements.

Is this onee big sarcastic thread of some crap? If I disenchanted ItemA to get 3 Fractured Temporal Crystals. If I tried to restore that ItemA it would need 3 crystals in my inventory. If the exploit that the 3 crystals just need to be in my inventory and not actually used? Or that you can ge the itemA for 3 crystals and try to re-disenchant for a temportal crystal?

So in order for this to work you must Not be an enchanter ? have used a garrison to disenchant the item?
