[Possible exploit] Free LFR loot

I queued for LFR on my alt, got the popup, and joined. However, before i could enter, they engaged Ko'ragh. So while i was in my Garrison, they killed it. However, i got a piece of loot mailed to me from the Postmaster, and am not saved to Ko'ragh.

I just redid Ko'ragh, and again got loot. So it does work. Also thanks for that link

There is no way to recreate these circumstances is there? As soon as you accept a LFR invite you get ported in as soon as possible, didn't you simply just get lucky? Just asking because i would love to gear my alts quickly this way

I tried it with BRF LFR and I just ported out after zoning in and waited for group to get into combat with a boss. I tried to zone in during the encounter with the message that says you cant zone in right now. So anyway nothing from the mail system came. This either does not work for BRF or I was super unlucky and didn't even get any augment runes

There is no luck regarding the runes. Loot is a roll, rune is a given.

One Thing I could imagine is getting an invite to a group standing infront of the boss ready to pull. They pull the exact time you accept invite. In the end just a pain in the ass trying to recreate, especially queueing as DPS.
