Little Exploit Midsummer Fire Festival

While this is not game breaking it is fun for PVE and PVP. Using the Burning Blossoms you receive from honoring or dishonoring the fires across the game you can get a 3% crit buff. The trick is to apply a flask of your choice, 250 strength, agility, intellect etc. Then go to one of the fires and use the Burning blossom. To get the 3% Crit buff. You will now have both buffs. You must do it in that order. If you choose to use a flask second you will override the Crit buff since its a Battle Elixer Buff.


Steps.
1. Obtain Burning Blossom from Fire Festival quest givers.
2. Locate a Midsummer Fire Festival Bonfire
3. Use flask of choice, Draenic Strength, Agility, Intellect...etc
4. Use Burning Blossom next to the Bonfire to "honor" the event.
5. Carry on to Honor Battleground, or Raid for a 3% increase Critical Strike Chance which stacks with other crit buffs for a 8% increase.

would the raid crit buffs overwrite this? can you confirm, if it doesnt stack.. like i think it won't. good try butn o kudos

No other raid buffs do not override this due to it being considered a Battle Elixir buff. I have used it in pvp and pve with full buffs. Its a 1hour buff for 3% extra crit plus fire damage. It is meant to be fun. Not to be a be all end all exploit. Thus I mentioned its not a Game Breaking exploit.

I often use that +500 stats buff (from a rare) and i've seen no crit, does it have to be from a flask to get this?

Again, you have to use the Flask, or in your case Crystal of Insanity first. Then use the Burning Blossom on a Midsummer Fire. You will then have both the 500 stat buff and the 3% Fire Festival Fury Buff. I can take a screenshot if necessary.

Wadeptab, If you don't have anything to contribute don't talk at all. Only because he has found a small exploit in the game, doesn't mean it's not worth posting. I'm guessing you don't raid much do you? A 3% Crit buff that stacks with Crit chance raid buffs is huge, although it seems an idiot like you doesn't understand this.

Since right now we are during the Fire Festival it is worth to bump this ! And by the way great exploit !
I convinced my group who is trying atm Challenge modes to use these together with their flasks and we miss only 3 right now I add + 5 rep and 200 CC's + my thanks.
3 % more crit chance is a LOT when your guild try Heroic bosses SoO and even better 3 % more critical chance counts a LOT when your group is doing CM's , together with others small things like Fire festival food buffs x 4 from vendors + G91 Landshark used by healers ect.

If This still works in raids it is actually a pretty huge, especially if you are going 25hc like me, gonna test it out tonight, thanks for getting it up.

Hmmm, ate food (+300) and flasked up. Went to get the 3% crit buff and the food buff disappeared. Am I doing something wrong

First off Thanks Razor33 for the bump. Yes this is still working. The minute the festival/world event started I began using the trick. Still the stacks with buffs and is usable in random bgs, raids, challenge modes etc.

1) Acquire Burning Blossoms
2) Flask of choice, Crystal of Insanity, Winter's Bite etc
3) Use Burning Blossoms on Midsummer Bonfire.
4) Join instance

I also ate food to buff before I used the Burning Blossoms and it still provides me with the 3% crit buff.

To answer some people questions Is a great + for anything you do in the game from BG's to dungeons and challenge modes until heroic raids ! The only inconvenient is the fact you have to go out of the Dungeon / BG every time you die or the buff expire and go again close to a fire to get back the buff =)) A bit annoying !

I didn't tested but I'm almost sure this don't work in Rated BG's or Arenas :P in rest works anywhere ! Enjoy it until it last ^^ !
