    Proving Grounds Pause Queues

This is likely a repost since it's kinda known, but searching "proving grounds queue pause" didn't do it for me, so yeah.

Basically say you're in an LFR queue and need 5-10 minutes to go take a smoke, a dump, whatever. Just head to garrison, enter proving grounds, and that'll "pause" your queue (retaining your position). When you get back, simply leave the Proving Grounds and it will resume your queue with no fear of being dropped in the interim.

100% Intended. It's not an exploit to pause a queue. You could have a have friend DC in your party and it would do the same. And it's not really an advantage, once you unpause you are at the same number.
Did it ever happened to you, when you're smoking a cigarette and you try to get it out from your mouth but your lips are so dry that your fingers go to the fire instead because the cigarette is stuck on your lips?

Not true, you advance in the queue while paused. Same as how the queue works while in multiple queues and one of them goes off, you will continue to be in the queue while running the dungeon, raid or battleground.

We do not know exactly how blizzards queue system works but we do know that you're merged into the queue close to where you would be if you had waited normally.

Thus it isn't an exploit, or are you musing that having a friend log on an alt, join your party, and log off is easier than hitting a garrison hearthstone and queueing up into PG?

I can accept it might not be an *exploit*, but I also think it's somewhere above "guide" and I'm not sure if it's even intended. I wouldn't be surprised if they made it so you couldn't queue into PGs while in another queue. If Blizzard wants us pausing queues and going AFK, you'd think they'd simply add a Pause feature.

If you were previously having a friend log over so he could DC, consider yourself informed on an easier method.

Personally, I do not believe that this is useless. I didn't know about this myself, and my friend and I are always cautious on how long we AFK if we're in a LFR/Dungeon queue. Please consider other opinions and uses before deeming it useless

You and I both know that there is no reason to call people out like this. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, please try not to bash other users for their linguistic skills. Remember, while this is an English speaking forum, not all people use English as their first and primary language. If you can understand what they're saying, then fine. If not, ask for elaboration.

In my opinion this isn't useless at all. Maybe not the most game breaking exploit ever, but personally I have lots of times wished I could set the queue on pause.

Your post, however, is 100% useless.

While I don't have need of this at the moment, it can be very useful. For instance, back when I was trying to do molten core and the avg wait time was over 2 hours long. I waited in queue almost 3 hours, went to the kitchen to grab a snack, came back and had missed my queue. Talk about pissed. This would have saved so much frustration. Maybe not an exploit, more of a guide, but still useful.

Does this work for ashran queue aswell? Aka queue ashran, enter provinggrounds and let queuetimer go. Leave provingground an hour later or so and instant ashran queue? Or will the ashran queue pop in provingground aswell? Just like it pops in arena and everywhere else...

    Same interest in Ashran.
Btw Snubbel, even if it works it will never let you enter Ashran instantly after you just queue Ashran and wait 1 hour in provingground because the timer is PAUSED meanwhile.
