Elixir of Deep Earth giving +Bonus Armor

An elixer from Cataclysm ( Elixir of Deep Earth - Item - World of Warcraft ) wasn't changed to coincide with the how armor works for tanks/Glad Warriors, and it currently give 268 Bonus Armor which is a pretty substantial amount and blizz did state that Bonus armor flasks were removed from WoD Beta. I'm gonna assume this isn't intended.

    Have fun

Armor = Bonus Armor... its intended. As for it giving as much as it does given the recent Mantid Elixir nerf to its Armor. That part is the, most likely, unintended part.

My rationale behind why I think its unintended is because blizz deliberately removed the few +armor pots they added during WoD beta testing, /shrug. either way the +armor is noice.

Does it surpass other benefits you could get from using WoD flasks?

Currently cant get +Bonus armor flasks, so technically yes. Bonus armor is > Any of the primaries, imo. It's around 4% dmg reduction for tanks and pretty good for glad warriors.

I'm doubtful this adds to Bonus Armour and not simply Armour. They are two seperate things, though Bonus Armour adds to your standard Armour.

So you'd recommend using this instead of +200 to all stats? Just curious of what to use in my eventual prot spec :3

For Gladiator spec, Bonus Armour > Strength. Not sure about other specs like Prot. tank.

I tested this and can confirm it does give you Bonus Armour.

+200 to all stats doesnt exist. The tooltip on that oralius crystal hasn't been updated. Since somewhere in the end of november, they changed it to give 100 to all stats.
You will probably gain 5% extra on your agi/str/int bonus from wearing full leather/plate/cloth etc.

It IS just tooltip, unless recent hotfix re-broke it(?), mine strictly does 100 stats.

It is definetly 268 Bonus Armor and not just armor. I also get 313 AP unbuffed as a guardian drood out of it.
As a 2. elixir you'll take 'Monk's Elixir', wich will give you 89 mastery (and 33 AP unbuffed).
On the defensive side, you gain -1.72% physical dmg via 'Elixir of Deep Earth' + 1.22% of guardian droods mastery (~.6% damage physical reduction).
Numbers are at itemlevel 655 with 3759 Armor.
'Greater Draenic Stamina Flask' Gives about 31k HP unbuffed and before 'Ursa Major' stacks.

So, if you got enough HP, than you'll got with these elixirs.

Background: 7/7 HC clear (dunno if it helps)
