LFR On Daily Reset

Anyone remember dragonsoul LFR first week? Same exploit, ended in ban of thousands of players that knew it was an exploit. They did not just loose the accumulated gear, they lost precious playtime. Blizzard has methods to detect it. This WILL get you banned for sure! This isnt just an exploit that is hard to notice.

I had to look this up... I only ever remembered the one where guilds Zoned into a raid a week before it was released using the LFR group and manually zoning in.. Think that was MSV?

From the sounds of it this is not quite the same thing. That DS bug required you to zone out and back in to be able to loot, a specific action required to produced the exploited results.

I honestly would be very disappointed in Blizz if I heard they were mass banning people because they queued for LFR more than once in a week...

its also gated to 3 bosses that have about 2 drops each ,they dont have the full loot table, of the 3 bosses i think there was 2 items i cared about

Well I'm going on past history with LFR. It's always had it's own lockout and released a wing at a time in prior raids. I haven't read anywhere where this was going to change with this expansion.

honestly it would be legitimate to re run lfr for some people to use orbs that dont raid , if the bosses dropped loot again through no actions of our own i dont see what the exploit is here , blizz reset it not us, did not work for me anyway

Every boss can only be looted once a week. LFR, normal and heroic/mythic each have a seperate ID. If you are able to loot a boss two times a week, then its a bug. Not talking about coins. If there was a reset involved, then thats a completely different story. Do you have infos about a reset like a tweet or bluepost confirming that? Because as far as I know LFR just got released today.

No, just no. DS LFR first week dropped loot every time on every boss. Many raiding guilds exploited this and got banned, temporarly. There was no zoning, they just queued, entered LFR and got their loot.
Nobody is getting punished for using LFR more than once a week.

But just incase:

If you are getting loot off of a boss twice then it is an exploit. This has always been the case in World of Warcraft, and we expect players to know better. LFR loot exploit is so bad. Free Tier for all - Forums - World of Warcraft

that was a totally different exploit. top end guilds used master looter as the 1 person in the raid who wasn't saved, and giving loot to character who should have been ineligible. the part that really pissed blizz off was that lots of people knew about the exploit and no one ever reported it, knowing full well that they wanted to exploit it to gain an advantage.

It's not an exploit- it just happens from time to time, 2 weeks before the 6.0 pre-patch they reset raid lockouts and we cleared Mythic, again. Nobody received a ban or so much as a warning.

Again, I'm only going on Google since I do not remember this first hand, but according to the thread you linked, the MMO thread linked within it, and this exploit thread from these very forums, you needed to zone out and back in to be able to pick up the passed loot.

That is 100% different than running LFR a second time and being eligible for loot due to an assumed bug that does not correctly flag you as ineligible.

Odd, I ran LFR yesterday, i logged in just now to check it and I have an exclamation point next to mine saying i already looted the bosses.

This morning I read about this when I was going to work, and I remote desktop'd into my system. Sure enough, I was able to queue for the LFR with it showing that it was a fresh run. The connection was to weak, so I didn't actually do the run. Just know got home and immediately logged on to do the raid, and it has been fixed.
