Some of you may know this, and if you don't - watch this and teach your brain for the most sexiest class ever - the mage. From the ongoing era of World of Warcraft exploration, yet another significant method arises.
Specifically, the spell Blink, learned by Mages at level 20, can be used to teleport the caster partially underground using the angled surfaces of game objects. Although limited, this exploit can be used to achieve an almost infinite exploration possibility by travelling underwater, below the world's surface.
Fourteen of the possible hundred areas in which this exploit can be performed are displayed in this short movie of new, and known, exploration achievements.
Update: This exploit has apparently been nerfed as of patch 2.0.1. It is now time to argue who's fault it is.
Some time ago, this great exploit got nerfed. They nerfed the path's of objects who lead through the terrain ... Especially in BG's a cool thing. Swim underground and spam firebolts ...
I experimented a bit with the new path's (long ago) and discovered that the ******s of blizz just nerfed the terrain. Some of you may noticed this.
Before the nerf you were able to blink through a point where a path of an object cutted a path of the terrain. Now they removed the point of the terrain, so you can't get through anymore.
But, as said above, they forgot something ...
If 2 objects lay over each other and there is a path you can blink on, you will blink through 1 object.
Example1:
Take a tree, a simple tree, in Darnassus. There are roots.
Jump on one of them and blink... with the right direction you will blink in the middle of the tree - invisible for others.
Proof: Special tree o_o
Example2:
Take an invisible wall and take a stone, a trunk or similar objects.
Now get on the object who leads through the invisible wall and blink ... I think the result is clear
Proof:
Have fun trying this ... With a little fantasy you are able to bypass all the walls in the game ...
greetings and sorry for my bad english ... its late and I am tired :P
