Skipping 3000 Valor Pt. Quest for leg. cloak

Obvious question: Was your Dk on the same quest?
Also were you able to /who and whisper your Dk to test if he was "online".

My characters were not in a group together. I picked up the valor quest on my Char 2 (hunter) 3 days ago and was only 150/3000. I completed a heroic scenario on my main character and completed the quest objective and got the achievement.

My dk was on the same quest, he was 600 vp in and my priest was 2925 valor into the quest, i did the timeless isle quest and got 50 epoch stones. I then logged on my dk ran to SM and killed the bosses, i alt+f4 and went back on my priest. i /who my dk and saw him online. i whispered him and it went through so i decided to turn in the quest. it did not work but oh well. just thought my contribution of my situation could help the community.

I think when you alt-f4 your character takes 1-2 min to "log off" and disappear from being online which might of happened for you. My character was in SM for a good 2+ hours but who knows

Just tried this with my WoW1 and WoW6 characters both logged in at the same time. My priest was at 2900/3000 and my rogue was at 0/3000. I had both windows open in two separate monitors. Did a heroic Scenario on my priest, and at the end my priest dinged with the achievement and my rogue who was still sitting online next to wrathion got nothing (still 0/3000). Not sure if it was fixed, or if something odd happened and it just didn't work for me, but I just wanted to update.

Note:
Both toons were alliance, both on the same server, both on the same bnet account, both actually physically online at the same time (didn't do the SM bug), and only my main got the credit.

The log off method in scarlet monastery no longer seems to work , as when i log out i get disconected and when i type /who my character name doesnt show up, im going to try to disconect (alt+F4) in loading screen now, see if it work's also tried getting attacked and log off, still gets normal log off when i do alt+f4 so once i hand in the quest i keep you guys updated.

I can confirm that it does not work while you alt+f4 disconect in loading screen, i think its safe to assume to say its fixed now in either patch 5.3/patch 5.4 I hope this helps.

Seeing as no one has bothered to actually explain this fully, the way I did it was by going to SM GY and attacking the first boss that spawns adds, alt f4 and you'll still be logged in, I just did it with a character on a completely different server to the one I left at SM and on the same account (actual same account, not two accounts on the same bnet account).

Wow, this actually worked, alt f4d on my nr1 char wich had 400valor earned, and then logged in on my nr2 char, and finished the 3000valor quest, got the finish on the nr1 char too! Same account, different servers.

There is virtually no reason for that hostility. If someone doesn't understand something, maybe, instead of questioning their mental and lingual capabilities, YOU should be more clear and concise.

When you say "finished the 3000 valor quest" do you mean you earned the 3000th valor point which gave the quest credit + achievement or did you already have 3000 valor and you handed the quest in?

for me it was when I earned the 3000th point.
