Shadow Step Mechano-Hog

I've discovered as a rogue, if i mount my mechano-hog, then shadow step to something, whoever was in the bike with me gets teleported to where i shadow step. so essentially shadowstepping whatever person was in my mount with me.

at the time it was a shadow priest and I've done this multiple times.

TLDR

Mount Mechano Hog
Get passenger
Shadow Step
Person teleports with you.

Old news. This works with every teleport mechanic in the game, except if you teleport to another map id. For example, be on chopper with a friend and use a portal and bam, both of you get to where the portal goes and also, ur friend gets disconnected.

Just tested on my warlock, does not work, and if you use a portal the passenger just gets dismounted.

You can only do this if the portal goes to the same map id as the one you're in. For example, if you where to teleport to kalimdor while you're in eastern kingdoms, it would not work.
If you would for example take a porta within eastern kingdoms, for example to Stormwind from Booty Bay it would, however.
