So i brought my newly level 90 shadow priest to the timeless isle, * he was wearing alot of greens, dont ask * anyways i noticed it seemed like every rare i killed or moss chest i opened was cloth timeless gear drops. But the momment he was semi geared in timeless gear i was getting next to none to drop. So i tested this with my IL 533 lock who happens to be my enchanter. And made him wear nothing but greens killing shit on the isle in 1hr of farming rares, and killing elites ive obtained 27 sha crystals. I dont know if this is intended on game mechanics but its a great way to make money or enchants one way or another.

Idk if this i true. My alts got a lot more gear than my main, but in the first day my main also got a lot of tier pieces and it was with 547 ilvl, full ToT heroic so idk...

Could be a silent loot nerf after a few days = nothing to do with the equipped gear.

What do you mean using the exploit above? There is no exploit that was stated... Just you not equipping gear?

I believe that in the case of rares that they have a higher chance of dropping loot for the first time you kill them that day (or week for some I believe). Also I believe this is considered a theory unfortunately.

Its not a theory, ive been doing it most of the day on my enchanting alt. So unless i have a few horseshoes in my butt. its working. and my lock has killed gander 4 times 3 outta the 4 were timeless pieces

It's slightly possible. I got a burden from a regular crimson dragon when i had some bad 476 gear. Not to mention I had a PVP trinket and in LFR the only loot I got was the badass reduced cooldown trinket. Perhaps they've introduced a weight system that after you receive gear you can use that is of 5.4 quality they reduce the chance for new loot.

I will hop on my druid tonight that isn't that geared and see what I get from a few rares.

Also, I have noticed for a fact that the 1ST time you kill a rare it has a higher chance for loot. I've only gotten burdens from rares on the first kill (RNG is RNG but it's pretty weird with 50+ kills and all my burdens came from the first 10ish)

You sure your not stretching the truth there turra? 130+ epics from just the weekly quests. thats like 2-3 epics per mob. or more.

even if all RNG is controlled think about it, wear low level greens ( get your cloth, mail, plate, leather ) token drops on your chanter and simply create gear based on ur spec and DE it all. Provided u were already geared to begin with. Its simply taking advantage of already working mechanics blizz might have put in place to help gear people out.
