Get to Ordos area without Legendary cloak

I'm not convinced anyone in this thread knows what they're talking about. You need to do a certain amount of damage to Ordos to be eligible for loot without a legendary cloak.

Unless this has been changed very recently it is absolutely possible to get loot. We've summoned whole raid teams (without cloaks) up there and they at least got Epic Purple Gold. I had the cloak... and all the bastard gave me was a LFR cloak. Go figure.

Additionally, anyone with a healing spell wouldn't have to hit the boss... just hit someone who is with a healing spell.

First day of patch 5.4, I used glider next to Ordos while in a raid group and hit him with multiple dots on my DK. Didn't get teleported out and sat right next to him on the ledge outside the teleport area. Ended up getting saved to the boss and received no loot what so ever. So either what you said is false, or they made it so you're ineligible for loot unless you have the cloak. If this was the case, it was not a hotfix cause I tried this 3 hours after the damn patch came out with no luck. Oh well.

This was the case formerly. It has now been hot fixed however. Video coming in about an hour. I will reply with the URL for a concrete answer.

it might be possible to use the new item "Falling Flame (Launched the user into the distance as a blazing meteor)" to fly by and tag ordos before teleporting out or flying past. also with this item you can use disengage even if not in combat which will reset your falling trajectory to i assume other abilities like blink or roll will be able to do the same thing.

you could also use this item to land near ordos to attack it with pets etc.

Did you read or watch anything I posted? Like seriously.

Ordos was formerly lootable without acquiring the legendary cloak on a character on your account.

This has now been hot fixed.

When the bug existed, you could fly into the Timeless Isle from Jade Forest and use a Goblin Rocket Glider, a Priest's Levitate or Mage's Slow Fall, onto the roof in front of Ordos' spawn point. From there, you carefully jump to where I am in this video - I'm unsure of how easily this would be done without a Goblin Rocket Glider due to the forward-motion caused by it's activation.


Don't bother trying this. I did 38 million damage to the boss, my character and pet combined. This is 100% hot fixed. I do however know of people whom have completed Ordos using this method, who were awarded gold.
