Translucent effects stack.

Use the following and you are completely invisible(*)

al-li's skymirror (use it on yourself or a friend makes no difference)
ethereal oil (low-lvl alchemist recipe)
synapse springs (only lasts ten seconds)

Two out of the three make you almost impossible to see, good enough for most
purposes.

This is pretty useful for pvp. Remember your healer as well as the enemy can't
target you easily if they can't see you.

*Completely invisible apart from the clunking great name tag above you.

It's always cool To do things like this to your character I am a big fan of anything that changes how you look, but as is mentioned in any other one of the topics about trying to be invisible, it isn't bad for not being seen from a distance or targeted from a distance but in terms of targeting in combat everybody uses nameplates that cares about pvp.

Still i don't like when people call this useless as it can help you get the jump on people that aren't paying too much attention and it does give you a rogue type freedom to go around a pvp area somewhat safer as you are not so easy to see from far away.

I don't see that the two things are the same. The end result is similar, the methods to achieve it aren't.

Additionally, being an invisible tauren has less value in PVP imho, because the size partially compensates for the invisibility. You are trying not to be targetted, a tauren has a wider target area.

It is probably the case that both methods can be used together, that might be interesting.

Could you link a screenshot of you being invisible?

Tried going with Dartol's Rod of Transformation+Aqua Jewel, And I think that made me almost all invisible.
