fan knives ultra spam

So the other day i was online and somehow I went into a wierd type of offline mode. The chat was still coming in but no spells or anything was working. So anywho my character was apparently stuck in one place my friend said. so i tried clicking fan knives and my friend said it was working. So i used an auto clicker and my friend told me i was spamming fan knives very very fast. So i was wondering if anyone knows how to get into this partial offline mode to maybe be able to exploit this on raid bosses and stuff.

I seem to get a sort of offline mode when my Internet cuts out for a bit and after the initial lag is done, it seems that I go back to online mode for about 3 seconds before I actually DISCONNECT (usually). Also, all the abilities I press in my lag-induced rage go off at the same time in the 3 seconds of online mode before I disconnect.
I'm sure there are multiple ways of disconnecting yourself (ripping out Ethernet cable comes to mind) that you can try that can produce the temp offline mode.
But an obvious question that spawns into anyone's mind is do those abilities that are spammed deal damage, or is it just visual?
