Easy Hexos as Mage

Hi All,

Just thought id share this with the community as I found it out last night.

When you engage Hexos as a mage do the following

1. The SECOND that Hexos appears, move forward 1-2 steps and quickly BLINK.
2. You will notice you have teleported just outside of starting range of the hexagonal patterns, DO NOT MOVE after this point.
3. If you are lucky, Hexos will port to YOU and you will be able to DPS him down without worrying about the hexagonal patterns. You will need to be careful to not move. Turning is OK.

This does not always work, and I've estimated it out to be a 1 in 20 chance that it works. If it doesn't work, the fight will stop and you will simply be ported outside the arena. I did encounter that it will port you back into the middle sometimes, so be prepared to die if this happens.

Once it worked, it works like a charm, all you need to do is DPS him down.

This couldn't of come at a better time, I just reached Hexos on my Mage last night and had two attempts and literally laid in bed thinking I will never be able to kill him, going to try this now and will return and confirm! Thanks

Sort of OT. He is actually realy easy. When your turning don't look at your character. Look where hexos actually is and turn accordingly, don't worry about your rotation either. Just mash your buttons realy. Focus on hexos and not your character and you should get him easy. got mine legitimately in 5 attempts after I realy focused on the boss rather than my char.

After hexos it's pretty damn easy. If you can get past him you can do the rest till rank 10 blindfolded lol.

I'll just say this aswell, It's a littlebit OT but I think it might help some people.

If you can do the maze just fine but you can't do your rotation good enough to down him just download Honorbuddy with a good profile, makes it much easier when you don't have to do your rotation.

this happened to me when i did hexes to show a friend how to do it. I started the encounter and i think i used mage mirror so i was like on a different spot and didn't even have to move a single times. I stood on the beams and didn't take damage. i got screen shots but cba editing

Tip, if you managed to get Whole-Body Shrinka use this, you barely take any damage, but still slowly drains your health, use Pygmy Oil then pop Whole-Body Shrinka, worked for my hunter.

It's an old bug but as a hunter all you need to do is run/disengage out right when you port into the arena and move your pet close to where hexos pops up and use a /tar hexos /start pet attack macro and he attaches to the pet instead of the hunter. This worked in 5.2 and still worked last night using a challenge card.

Cant get it work as warlock. Do I have to stand at the start of the arena and move 2 steps forward then use teleport? Or do I have to run to the side of the arena, place teleport and teleport out of the hexagonal patterns? If I'm teleporting outside of the hexagonal patterns, Hexos is teleporting to my spot, the fight is over and I get ported out of the event.
