Void Shift in a Duel

I searched a couple ways and did not see this. If it is a repost, please remove it.
Also the reason why I am posting in exploits is that I feel that being able to use this ability in a duel to get full health again is most certainly not intended.
If you feel this finding is a mistake, then please move to guides or remove it. Thank you.

All you do is have a buddy join a group with you and start a duel. When you want to fill your life, Just cast Void Shift on the guy in your group. And vwahlah. Full health (Pallies are not the only ones with Lay on Hands lol)

It will not work on the person you are actually dueling... Even if they are in your group. But it will work on ANY bystander you can get into a group.

You guys really think it's intended that you can Void Shift during a 1v1 duel? Can the other group member heal you while you're dueling? No? Same concept. You are unable to have any outside influence helping you within a duel environment, and while I understand that Void Shift is your own ability, it requires tapping into another friendly group members health pool to heal you which is unequivocally not allowed or intended.

your logic fails. Using voidshift in a duel is like getting healed by an aoe heal from a party member. aka, not intended.

It's actually intended.

Void shift is considered a major ability of that class, considering in any arena, or rbg you would use it to top yourself to 100% they let it in duel too , it has same purpose

Symbiosis also work the same way, symbiosis is main ability of druid, so you can use in duel.

Those 2 class have 2 of their biggest / most important ability relaying on party member. That's why they let it work in duel. They also don't plan to change it was suggested as a fix by many person, but never corrected and will never be

The difference is that you aren't supposed to gain health through outside sources in duels... This is why other people can't heal you. I'd say that this is clearly not intended and though not a major exploit it is still something that I'm sure people can make use of (betting gold on duels, etc). +Rep to OP

I feel it's intended for a couple reasons

1. If you're in a duel, you can heal/buff others outside of the duel, I've seen pallies who have mouseovers accidentally use LoHs on someone else instead of themselves.
2. I would lean towards exploit, if an OUTSIDE source (a priest not duelling) was the one who used void shift to swap health pools with the person duelling.

So really, nothings stopping you from casting a spell on someone who isn't in a duel, i really can't think of any ability you CANT use in that way.

it is not intended that you can void shift in a 1v1. now shut up. OP simply mentioned that you can bypass that by being in a group while doing the duel.
There's a reason why blizzard fixed void shift back days. in the start you could void shift Psyfiend. they removed that as they want it to be only available if you're a group of people, not for solo missions. AKA you shouldn't be able to do it in a 1v1 situation (duel) and by using OPs method by grouping up with one, you can bypass that restriction. it might seem like logic to some people, but OP posted this to the people who diden't know.

group members cant heal or help you in duels either, therefor Void shift shouldn't work either. it does (thats the exploit). now stop posting useless posts about this being intended.
