If you click a warlock portal immediately after receiving the notification that you have become the target of a torrent of ice then that torrent will not spawn at all. Place a warlock portal near the melee clump that is accessible to ranged/healers and you can ignore the entire mechanic with good practice.

eh can u explain little bit better. Using this method since first heroic kill, and we also use wlocks portals but using it do not disappear the beam. Only make kiting much easier

you set up demonic gateway on top of the melee

when someone gets torrent of ice on them, have him click the gateway to get teleported.

Torrent of ice will not spawn.

Tested yesterday, with a few tries I was standing on the gateway and clicking it asap when got the debuff (~less than 0.5sec), does not work at all.

Doesnt work, got over 100 wipes on hc and tried every single way to place and click the portal. Ice does always spawn, and whoever said put the portal on melee isn't playing the same game as the rest cos torrent of ice doesn't spawn on melee an having a ranged teleport there with it will wipe your raid.
