1.) Open Wow
2.) Open Cheat Engine
3.) Go to Character Creation Page
4.) Go to Hairstyles section, and select the top hairstyle (should be number 1)
5.) With hairstyle #1 selected, search for the value "0" in cheat engine.
6.) Change hairstyle to #2, and search for the value "1" in cheat engine
7.) Repeat until you can isolate the hairstyle variable
8.) Change that number in cheat engine around, find some hidden stuff!

This is interesting.

Similar things has been done in the game MapleStory to create characters with classes/races that are released yet, and with names that are otherwise filtered out.

But that was done with packet editing afaik.

Like let's say the packet you send when you create a character looks like this:

aa bb cc dd ee ff gg hh

aa = name

bb = race

cc = class

dd = face

ee = hair

gg = hair color

hh = skin color

ect, people just changed the hex values and were able to do some crazy stuff. That game has always been broken though, but if this hair thing works there are other possibilities.

You can also edit the game files (wz edit with demswz or harepacker) and literally just remove every filter. On a shitty private server I changed the starting items to gm items, made new chars, and it worked.

they all do, it's the way the game was made, it's just that only a few servers don't check to see if you changed it

maybe in a private server. I was experimenting with having wrong class/race combos, like pandaren warlock, tauren rogue, etc. Doesn't work, says "failure". Try searching for factions when you change characters.
