Additionally for the benefit of those of us who can't make this work at all, could someone explain how to actually do this?

If you literally right-click on the flag you can't accept the port accept possibly with some kind of macro. It is not clear to me
(or apparently some others) what the exact sequences of key presses or mouse clicks is. Would really appreciate a heads-up,
and yes I'm obviously being dumb and missing something obvious.

The timing on all the control fp's tend to vary. This one is especially touchy and needs to be done at the exact same time. To answer Trokair's question. No. This is, as Placebo has made known, the same as how the control fp's were last patch. You are serverside until you move a bit away and then you go poof and WoW locks your coords back to where you originally ported, as has always been the case. If you move 50 ft to the right, and then dismount the control fp, you will be back where you started. Therefore anything you can get to using the no-clip is client-side only unfortunately.

Netops, would you please respond to this comment? The Control FP is the part of this ExploitPack that I find interesting. Once you've teleported with the Kite can you then take it any distance on the same continent... or do you disappear to your friends (server) after going a certain distance?

This kite exploit, works server side the second you port to any other map ID. It does not port you to XYZ either, it ports you to the correct destination that is intended. The second you are ported with the kite, you are allowed to move anywhere you desire, and not only can you noclip through walls but everyone instantly see's what you are doing from the start of the exploit. This means that our kite exploit is completely serverside, no additional work is needed to make it serverside after you take the kite & port.

An exploit that is some what useless as far as benifits, but very entertaining for those who want to try something different. I hope this answers your question.

I feel as though you don't understand this glitch. You reference how this one doesn't port you to xyz, but none of the control fp's do. Watch any of my exploration vids and it clearly shows that. So that's not different. Every other control fp allows you to move "anywhere you desire" as well so that's the same. The No-clip is obviously the same to. And as far as people seeing you while no-clipping, yes that's accurate, however, as has been demonstrated before in the last control fp guide, this is how they work now. But it only lasts for so much distance. Than you disappear like every other control fp also demonstrated in the last control fp guide.

I tested this myself today with a friend. Enabled it in Org, friend was able to see me for a short distance then I was gone. Flew to Azshara and had him meet me at my location, and he was unable to see me. He then flew back to Org and there I was chilling in mid-air not moving. Which again is how all of the control fp's have worked for something like 6+ months. Perhaps I'll upload a small vid when I have some time later to help out. Or maybe Placebo can make another update vid, the last was very thorough. Hope this helps!

For those who are new to this and struggling with it, I got the kite exploit to work by doing the following:

Stand very near kite
Join bg que, wait for box to come up
cut and paste this into my chat: /click StaticPopup1Button1
right-click on kite very fast, press enter simultaneously.

Now, is a warlock summon the only way to get to kalimdor and GM island? Can't seem to time mage
ports right even if that actually works.

I'll explain why you can only see people in a short distance, its because FP cannot phase as normal players can. In BG there is no phase points so you can go as far as you want, but as far as inside Storm wind or Org there are phase points. It is not just only a certain distance you can move, it is when you cross a phase point. Hope this helps you.

Also, there are multiple members here on OC that are really anal about the control FP, who found it first or whos is better then whos. I only show how to do it, and what can be achieved by doing it, not that it is better. Trying to prove your experience over a very useless exploit doesn't show that you have a great knowledge over these mechanics, just that you are trying to prove to everyone you're the king of Control FP and deserve to be recognized for what Kurius calls useless crap.

I quit WoW and won't be returning but I thought should drop in and throw in my two cents. General gist of this thread is that people need to accept that everything is a "repost" in some way or another. Methods may change but most of the time it involves the same concept and mechanics. I hate the game of who posted what first... No one owns exclusive rights to an exploit. Just doesn't work that way !

As shown in the vid this has all been covered, and much more effectively. After a mountain of excuses now it's down to the holier than thou approach, a last resort for people like Raov haha. Can't actually prove it wrong so you gotta try different angles, it's classy. And of course the whole everything is a repost in some way approach only works if you bring something new to the table. And as Visitor mentioned, Raov is notorious for claiming repost, which is ironic, because they are famous for their reposts lol. Regardless, like I threw a bone to Raov at the start, despite suspecting it was a repost, and eventually proving it, it's always nice to have another control fp.

I went ahead and did more testing on it, just for the sake of verification. You can take the kite into arena, everyone can see you regardless of how far you go within the arena map. Already pretty big, being able to take it into arena and be viewable.

Another simple clarification. Given this mount doesn't have a supposed flight "path" per say, when you life grip or death grip someone on this kite, it pulls them, disconnects them and upon login your location is now updated. This means, if someone tries to pet battle you while on this kite, they can only pet battle you while your character is within range of your original port location. However, if you life grip someone past this supposed *40 yard limit* that your so certain about, upon login, you can now pet battle within the location of where they had logged in at.

You can extend the supposed *40 yard limit* past the 40 yards too as far as you can go, though I do not believe you can subvert phasing using just life grip or death grip.

on top of this, if you life grip or death grip the person past the 40 yard limit you where talking about, upon logging out normally and logging back in, the person is no longer ported to their *****Original porting location***** but is instead logged in at the position they where last life/death gripped too.

Now I know you said this is your last post on the matter and that is fine, however, as I stated before, your going to have to try harder to one up this exploit. Tried same method of entering arena with client side control fp between skettis and ogrila, can't take it into arena. Didn't do further testing on if you could update location, but from what I remember, if you life or death grip someone on this particular path it will disconnect them and upon logging in your back on your flight path without control on a diff continent or map id.

Macro used to enter arena and bg for testing was this

works for bg / not arena

I used Ulduar bug for Val'Anyr Fragments farm and all went good until this week. Yesterday it didnt work. Was it fixed?

And, I guess, for some reason they nerfed overall fragments drop chance before the fix, cuz in past 3 weeks ive got only 2 fragments from about 30-40 bosses.
