Loot raid bosses without getting saved.

But im sure it could be useful to some people with lots of friends that will kill bosses for them like that.

Or you could just join every group in trade and leech on certain bosses. As for the healer part they are doing their part in the fight by mending health lost for teammates, that way a part of the fight.

Imo, probably has something to do with being flagged for the raid mob in question.

A loose example would be being flagged for pvp after you heal/rez a flagged ally, or damage an enemy.

So I'm guessing you are flagged for lockout if you attack it, or assist an ally who is flagged by the encounter. Though, since you are still in a raid group in the same instance, you can roll on loot that drops, despite not being flagged for the boss.

A good question though would be; that since now most player buffs act as auras in cast while in party(a lot of them disappear if the caster of said buff leaves the party/raid) could your afk friend get locked out if he/she buffed you inside the instance.

Heres an example, you are in a group with a friend somewhere and you're AFK and your friend kills a random mob that drops something. You are in a group and therefore you are able to roll for it unless the loot rules are changed, very basic.

As for the buff part the answer is no, the ones I went with buffed me. The buffs are spells cast on you BEFORE the actual fight so they dont play any part in getting someone in combat.

Doesn't work in LFR. Vizier Zor'lok landed on me and oneshooted before i could touch him (the tank was afk...) At the end i won the failbag and a save.

Could still work with normal raids.

Ive Been able to do this in LFR as a disc priest, i get loot for every boss but dont get saved.

At the start of every boss, just shield the tank and do nothing else. Shield him once then just afk. You get loot but wont be saved.

Edit 1: Tried it on EU, doesnt work.
Edit 2: Tried it on US, still works. not sure what to make of this...

Im just died before the first boss in lfr, no save but no loot, all i got is flagged for achiv

Tried it today and apparently it was just a bug in my friends calendar not showing he got saved. Sorry.
