Entering Cataclysm raids on a level 80.

Could not find any posts about this, so here we go. and if it is a repost im sorry, but i could not find it.

You need 1 person thats at least lvl 85 to enter this, after this u follow in almost right away, allowing you to zone in on a level 80 toon.

dont work with 60s in to lvl 70 raids, have not tried level 70 in to level 80 raids.

why is this exploit any good?

Allows 80 twinking to take on a whole new level of difficulty and try even harder things.

A friend of mine already has videos of him solo'ing a few bosses on his 80 DK

I'm pretty sure this was the case during Catacylsm as well, at least with a Warlock summon it worked. Interesting potential though and sure doesn't seem like something Blizzard set up intentionally.

Anyone 60+ can enter any raid that was released at the time of Trial of the Crusader or later (ICC, Halion, and all Cataclysm). Haven't tried 90 raids, but it should be possible.

As far as I know, the quests have a level requirement, and the only actual use of this is 80's being able to challenge themselves with soloing 85 content.
Or 70's soloing a few 80 content (although that seems unlikely)

Interesting... can you say "Kingslayer" on a level 1 bank alt?
Also, powerleveling from the AQ10 respawnable guards, from 1 to 70 (monsters in this instance only have their exp reduced to 10% at 70, as opposed to regular vanilla mobs) is entirely possible. No more overcrowded Cath of Darkness crap!

Man, I'm gonna have a bunch of things to try once the realms are back up!

Nope, the titles still require the normally needed level of the raids.
