During the encounter raid members will be encased in amber and another raid member will be required to right click to free them from the amber and get a 2 minute debuff, stopping you from freeing someone else, however if u are midcast when you right click they are free'd and you do not get the debuff this is small but helpful so that your raid doesn't have to move around so much to free each other.

There's no cast time to interrupt on normal. Although a guildie said he just kept moving while freeing someone and didn't get debuff, but it might not be repeatable...

I think what he ment with "midcast" was as in "casting a spell". If I am casting a spell, while clicking somebody out. Which in that case, leads to my question; does this only work on Heroic?

yeah by "midcast" i mean a spell that you are casting. And i havn't done lfr or normal in a while so wasn't sure if there even was amber
