This only requires that you have completed for the Horde or For the Alliance on at least one toon.

At the moment, each new player that logs in is receiving the mount reward for For the Horde or For the Alliance. The mount has a vendor value of 2.5g and you can gain the mount an unlimited amount of times by creating and deleting new characters. So this would be useful for someone starting a toon on a new realm and looking for a quick amount of gold for repairs or someone who wanted to grind 2.5g over and over again.

This is not fixed yet, but seriously, why would anyone do that? 2g and 50 silver per log-in/new character create. This means you would have to log in 40 times for 100g, 400 times for 1000g, 4000 times for 10000g and 40000 times for 100000g.

Lets find out how long it would take to get 100000g with an average of 5 seconds each loading screen and 20 seconds to create a new character.
25 Seconds * 40000 Times to log in = 1000000 seconds / 60 = 16666,66 minutes / 60 = 277,77 / 24 = 11,57.

It would only take 11 and one half day to get 100000g if you do this 24/7 with no breaks at all. Have fun.

Humm, Maybe this'd be a good time to update my old (5.0.5) memory interface for wow, could set up a bot to make chars, run to vendor, vendor item, send gold then delete. Could be profitable - Moreso than herbalism.

Ah, now we're using our brains. There have been examples of people doing this in the past with similar exploits. I think people even did it with the starting gear in vanilla when copper was more valuable. The best part is that this can be done on a lvl 1 character of any account and on any realm.

Well, this is a great exploit to use, if you're brand new on a server. Your first toon starting up, and if you'd want, for instance, 100g to start off with (I don't know what to use it on tho).

Hardly complicated math at all; more like a waste of time. He even left out the amount of time that it takes to vendor the mount and mail the gold.

As others have noted, this is most likely more useful for someone looknig to get gold on a new server or bot it for the sake of botting. I can't imagine anyone getting 100,000g out of this.
