Cross faction guilds and item trading.

First of all, apologies if repost, the only cross/dual faction guild threads I found when searching were related to the factionless panda exploits.

It is possible to have both Alliance and Horde characters in a guild by making use of the guild server and faction transfers available on the Blizzard site.

To achieve this:
1) Transfer a level 25 (have not confirmed with other levels) guild to another server and change faction. The old guild will be replaced with a new level 1 guild.

2) Characters left behind in the new level 1 guild will be aksed on battle.net account management if they want to follow their guild to the new realm.

3) On login on the new realm, your character should be in the new guild of opposite faction. So if your guild transferred Horde > Alliance, you will have a Horde character in the Alliance guild.

This (Horde, for the sake of argument) character can invite other Horde characters to the Alliance guild and players of opposite faction can understand and talk to each other.

The guildbank can be accessed from both sides and items can be deposited/withdrawn as well. Gold transactions is also possible.

I understand this isn't something most people can afford to do on a whim, but it will certainly help those who do a lot of cross faction trading and auction house playing, or those who recently transferred a guild of their own accord and wish to socialise with the other faction.

its neat the onyl down side is i am sure blizz would do something about it sooner or later but hey if it works for a few months it could b really fun

They wiped all cross faction guilds from the panda exploit. This would also cost money and be risky, not sure if I am up for it...But rep regardless.

Gurluas I still have 2/2 of my cross faction guilds and havnt seen any of my mates guilds being wiped either.

Odd S: The one I made was suddenly gone. It exists on the armory but all the characters were unguilded ingame.

there was another method of obtaining a cross faction guild that was free so this was nothing new in my opinion. glad to see though, that if i ever transferred a cross faction guild, that i would be able to retain membership of horde and alliance.
