I was logged into my account earlier today and looking at referral rewards for some reason... the account I was on had 2 refer a friend accounts attached to it back when the rocket was the current RAF mount... I only redeemed one of them cause I never decided what other toon I wanted it on.

Today I went on and redeemed it cause I was thinking "oh well its account wide anyway.. what does it matter"

to my surprise when I redeemed the reward I was given an obsidian nightwing... even though I did the RaF when the rocket was current


it seems that if you have a leftover RaF reward that is un-redeemed you can use it to get the current RaF mount even if you did it before the mount existed

I know this requires a very specific series of events.. but I thought I would share

the RaF date was 3/3/2010 so it doesnt appear to matter how long its been there

I guess I didnt realize blizz intended for people to RaF in 2010 and get a completely different mount 2 years later.. did they state this somewhere?
