It's not an issue because addon can be easily reworked so you'll have to accept bg port manually. Problem is that DC no longer saves you from being kicked to the city.

oh my bad, sorry
Personally I don't think that will be possible as all the xp gains are handled server side, and most hacks only modify things that are operating on client side, but I could be wrong.
Its a sad patch for all my 79 twinks D:
Hey guys.
My main account is down ATM and I don't have a character above 60 on my 2nd account. So could one of you guys try VoTuUS' exploit to see if it works for this. You need a level 82+ to use the deepholme potion to do this.
http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...legrounds.html (Deserter in Battlegrounds)
( Quote from his thread )
~Steps
1. Use a deepholm potion and the DC macro at the same time. ( /run for v=1,500 do for i = 1,GetNumFactions() do SetWatchedFactionIndex(i) end end )
2. When you relog, you should have deserter and still be in the Battleground.
Only do these first two steps. Not the other 3. The goal of this test is to give yourself deserter before the auto-boot gives you it.
If this works all credit goes to VoTuUS.
A great looking idea but sadly, this did not work for me. I entered bg with xp off, drank pot and immediately dc'd by pulling the router cable (before Deepholme had loaded). When I re-logged I was in Deepholme
I tried the same method with a lowbie using Wrap of Unity to port - same result.
It does, however, work exactly as you descibe when I have xp on, i.e. when I re-log I am still in the bg but with a deserter flag.
I am hoping this failure is due to poor technique on my part. Maybe if I had used the DC macro (as you recommended) instead of my crude DC method - but I don't see why this should make a difference.
Didn't work for me as well. I think that's because blizz fixed bug that gave you immunity to kick if you already have deserter. Before 5.1 you could just /afk in bg, this will remove you from the team but you're still in bg. Now deserter won't save you, I tried.
I tried this with my 79 Mage joining a xp on bg with xp on, but instead of using the deepholme potion I created a portal to Orgrimmar and used it the same way you should use the potion. When I logged back in I had deserter debuff but was still in the bg. Unfortunatley I still received a little amount of xp, but I´m not sure of which source.
I assume that if you have xp on in a bg, you will receive the same amount of xp irrespective of whether you have a deserter flag (but I am going to test this just to be sure!) If this is true then this method is of no benefit unless we can find a way to make it work with xp off.
Some guy in RU wow forums claims that "final" XP comes a split second after bg-ending event is fired. It means (if it's true ofc) that you can put a simple function into any addon that will detect ending of bg and leave in this very moment. It won't give us actual xp-off bgs but will make it possible to hold flag in wsg and leave in the end without getting deserter.
This needs proper testing, I'll give it a try tomorrow.
Well, that "well-time bg quit" turned out to be a lie, I've tried to automate it with LeaveBattlefield() function bound to ending of bg but got finishing XP. I won't post the function so no one could use it and accidentally level a twink.
Good news: there is a way to avoid both deserter and xp in wsg. Just log out when 1 minute remains, wait till bg ends and then log in. XP can't be given to chars who are offline. Keep in mind that you cannot use alt+f4, DC macro and other stuff. None of these methods will make your character to actually go offline, it will remain in game for approx 3 minutes (this mechanic is used in this exploit (Raid items for both your main and alt)). Use only logout!
I usually camp near house with manaregen bonus. It's pretty near to gy so I can catch everyone but horde keep rezzing because they hope to finally beat me since I don't get directly to GY)
This depends on bracket however. 10-14 has more ppl that stop rezzing if you camp but EU 80-84 and 85-89 seem to have more bots than real ppl (especially in the morning) so it matters not how hard you farm)
One of my favorite screenshots shows me with 206 frags in eots+3 friends who got about 50 frags each. Hordes had 13 bots in their team, we had only 10 because of our group of four) You could actually see honorbuddy route paved with hundreds of skeletons) I'll add that pic tomorrow.
But thats not an absolute highscore! One guy I know managed to get 250-256 kbs in wsg. Both teams had 8-9 bots. I personally did 200 kbs in arathi on warrior.
