I'm sure there have to be similar, maybe not as easy repeatable quests that would have similar results.

I tried the thorium rep quests but that gave 0 guild xp.

I called out in trade for that reason BUT I believe blizzard are starting to act the NPC is fixed and i've heard things of Bans and rollbacks might be real or just rumors i'll send you a link to the forum BUT no blue posts yet
