Nice find, must have taken awhile to find.

Yeah, we used these methods and got reported quite a bit. A GM asked how we did it and we showed them... If we would have been using Mountain Climber we would be banned, but that isn't the case since we did this without any 3rd party help/hacks/cheats. Of course they told us that if we were caught using it anymore they would ban us. I still use it against teams (as horde) but not for capping bases. I use it for hiding where asshats can't gy camp farm me. I'd rather sit up there than run around as a ghost for 2-3 minutes...
Imo the alliance one is harder (I didn't really practice doing it, as I'm horde)... of course from the angle its recorded from (someone elses PoV) it's hard to see that the first part is just jumping up to a ledge (it has more than enough room to get a running start with a mount). From there you mount and jump at an angle toward the wall. Doing that gets you stuck on the wall while mounted and then you dismount and try for the roof, or jump again to get closer. I couldn't manage to wall jump while mounted either (I think its impossible due to the fact that trying to jump while standing still makes your mount perform a stupid animation instead of jumping) which is why after that first jump from that ledge with the mount, I dismounted and jumped from foot..

This is semi-off topic, but anyway..
The thing about wall jumping that makes it so tricky is pressing the forward and jump buttons in just the right order. So I'm thinking... would it be possible to use a macro program (tons of free ones out there) and make a macro for the forward jump thing?
For example (assume "w" is forward and "" is jump):
- w
- (wait 0.1 seconds)
-
And you would bind that to a key. Not sure how well it would work, or if it would work at all. But it's something I'd like to try.
Yes, it's all about the timing. If you find a good macro program, let me know.. The ones I've tryed didn't work very well..
Well this one does work. I practiced for hours to understand how to do it. The easiest part now seems to be the initial jumping onto the roof (for horde). But that took practice. I found the best way to jump the way he does in the video is to click jump key plus forward key once quickly at the same time. When ever i do that all I have to do is turn my character with the mouse and it gets up to the roof easily. Hardest is mounting on an unmountable surface (found out having one foot off the roof always will let you mount) and then running and getting it to jump can be a pain. I've never made it out of the BG before the gate open though. Closest I've come is trying to do the last part of the jump on top of the bg portal and then game started. But I can imagine someone who is quick at it and fast could certainly get it.
yeah guys htis works, finally got to down packed. i noticed that practicing pressing space bar and the direction key at the same time improves jumping. takes some practice
lol if u told GMs the method, its only a matter of time...
NJ finding it though
