How to have Burgys hat and not be a gnome

To have Burgy Blacheart's had equipped you must do the following.

Equip his Hat.
Drink a Darkmoon Firewater
Drink 10 Pygmy Oils or however many it takes to make you a gnome.
Mount up.
Remove Pygmyfied Buff.

There ya Go!

What I did was transform into sandstone drake, put hat on, click off sandstone drake.
there you go.

Also If you zone into a place with this bug, Your portrait will show you as Burgy with no hat

It does that whenever you use any transformation spell or item, aswell when you enter an arena match or equip in an arena match. Also when you logout with it on when you are a female your gender changes on wow armory.

^^ What Lateralusx said. I get it all the time from being in Gnome form with the hat when using Leyara's Locket, then removing the locket buff.

Really love the visual of the hat though... it's one of those straight forward and back pirate deals... and if memory serves me correctly has the same look as a desired hat from back in the day. I was always curious if it was client side or if everyone could see the pirate hat on your head when you're not in Gnome form?

If so, Burgy's goes straight on your head, First Mate hat goes left to right. Still interesting, though

Yep, this happens to me when I go Ghost Wolf while in gnome form, it's fairly common unfortunately.

Other way to have the hat equipped without being a gnome :

- take the durability of the hat down to 0

- equip the hat

- profit
