LFR Roll Reseting

I looked around for this but found nothing. Some people my know this but im just sharing it. So basically in LFR when it comes time to roll for items that dropped you can click to leave the instance and rezone and it will reset the timer on your roll. This can work if you want to wait out the last boss for loot and wait for everyone else to leave, of course waiting is annoying but if you REALLY want that item from the last boss and dont want to wait till next week, im sure a few hours wont hurt lol.

I don't understand how waiting out the roll timer will successfully get you the item. The roll's will still be made and someone else might win the item, right?

This is actually pretty clever if it works / you're into doing this kind of thing. I'm certainly not, but if you keep resetting the roll timer so long that people give up and leave the loot can no longer be sent to them and you can loot it yourself.

aaa ya my friend just told me that this is just a way of being a douche so the item wont get rolled for and not actually getting it when they leave the grp., its just a way of being a douche lol

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong... but I remember in an instance someone won an item but because they were zoned/left (I forget) they didn't actually get the item... however, although it was on boss still, the game would not allow me to loot. It said I was illegible for loot. So has anyone actually tested this to see if you can actually loot if you were not the high roller? I realize the winner won't get the loot, but will you?

Tested, and once everyone had left the raid, I finally rolled, lost the roll and item was still in the chest, but could not loot it because I never won the roll.

exactly, this was just a theory post. - therefore it should be removed as of the forum rules suggest.

I can confirm that even if people leave and you have lost the roll you wont get the item(even with a GM ticket saying he left before loot was finished rolling).

If the LFR rolling is working the same way as hc's, normal dungeons etc. the item will be sent in mail to the highest roller..

the items is only sended if the winners inventory is full, not if he dont wait until the roll is finished

GM's can actually give you items even if you dont win the roll once timer runs out. I once looted the chest and didnt move because i wanted the coin drop for my achivement progress :P and people for some reason had to automatically loot their stuff. There was a gurthalok left in the chest and i ticketed a gm and perhaps he was just a very nice gm, but he did in fact give it to me despite me not winning it.
