    Neat levitate bug

Okay, so I was healing a dungeon with a buddy of mine who was the tank. For some reason I decided to spam levitate on him, and I found that if he didn't constantly manually click levitate off, he would generate no aggro. I tried it again in another group, on a different tank, and wound up getting him kicked because he could never hold any of the mobs off of the dps.

Could be useful if you wanted to get a tanked kick, or you just feel like being an *******

This could be useful in other situations as well.

Could you please confirm if he was just not generating new aggro... or if it actually lowered/dropped his aggro? I am curious if this could be used as an actual aggro drop, like a Mage's invisibility, or Hunter's feign death...

*edit: +3 rep to Flashers for bringing this to our attention, and +1 rep to zorrotm for confirming below that this works (at least the "not generating new aggro" part).... when the board allows me to.... I've apparently given out too much reputation already today.

I tried it on Emerald Dragonshire. End time with the cats... I pre-levitated tank and he was unable to pickup any aggro until it dropped off (he finally noticed just before we got to boss). he kept shockwaving and aoeing and couldn't pickup any aggro. I also tried doing it during a fight and I saw mobs leave tank and head for a dps... but not all of them left so I am not sure on how much this effects aggro but it does not appear to be a clean wipe to me.

    Interesting find!

I actually realised this with a friend about a week ago and want to add that you actually do agro, but the effect is like bubble. The mobs will ignore you for the time its on but you still make agro.

Been trolling in LFR for laughs. Got another priest friend and we watched as the tanks wtf'd and group raged at "bad tanks"

Like someone said, it seems like it acts more like a pally's bubble, while it is on the person they still generate aggro, but nothing will attack them. Still very fun to do when your bored/in the mood to troll, and a few other clever uses.

Our raid used to use levitate while jumping down on Nefarian in BWD.
If a tank had levitate up when the boss landed he would gain no threat and aggro to healers who no longer had levitate up.
Somewhat old supporting information, this is from about a year ago.
