Abusing the cannon in Darkmoon Island for moonjumps!

Okay, found something neat while searching for new exploration/exploit spots in the new Darkmoon Island released in 4.3.

1) Talk to the cannon goblin, then do /logout. Order doesn't really matter.

2) Once you have the logout timer up, pay the ticket to enter the cannon - though you wont enter it.

3) Cancel the logout.

4) 5 seconds after pressing the "Enter cannon"- button, you can move wherever you want and after the 5 seconds you'll get launched in the direction you were facing.

It's fun for example to fly on top of the deathmatch tent and get all the whispers asking you how you got there :P

Actually, just tested it 2 minutes ago - sadly, doesn't launch you.

i keep getting launched the same direction no matter which way im facing

I confirm. It works. It did launch me in the opposite side i was looking but still, not the usual direction.

Too bad there's not much to explore there. I only found an underwater cavern

After some tests, it doesn't launch me where i'm looking at. Always seems to launch me towards the mountains :/
(and You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Syluxx again. )

This does infact work The way i did it was:
1, mount up.
2, /logout.
3, talk to the person.
4, Use cannon.
5, it'll say, something like 'Another action is in progress'
6, Sprint towards your tent of choice on your mount and halfway there your should shoot off in that direction. its not always perfect but its a good laugh

This doesn't shoot you in the direction you are looking, it shoots you in the direction you are from the canon. IE, the canon is the source of the explosion and you get punted in whatever direction you are from the canon.
