Solotank Hagara in LFR(perhaps normal/HC)

The 4th boss in dragon soul, Hagara the stormbreaker is supposed to be tanked by two tanks.
Taunting at each and every Focused assault. The ability focused assault will kill you if not the other tank taunts the boss.
But here's where the trick to solotank here comes in, when she starts/finished casting her Focused Assault attack, just strafejump backwards, this will cause the boss to stop casting the ability and she will get "cooldown" on it.
So far i've only tried it on LFR since I haven't found any groups for the normal one... Might even work in normal/hc.

You will probably say "Uuugh it's the worlds most retarded and easy boss, atleast in LFR".. Perhaps it is, but those times when you get into a group with a completely retarded tank who doesn't know anything, this trick will come very handy..

For those of you who can do this boss on either HC/Normal, feel free to post the results.

It's intended for LFR and Normal, but you can't do it on heroic

This is a Working as Intended mechanic, and I believe it was posted a while ago (I'm on my phone, search would take years).

In Normal + LFR, she stands still to cast Focused Assault, and if she has to "move" to hit, she will stop her channeling. In Heroic mode, she's able to move while channeling this ability. Most guilds either just eat it through spamming heals + cd's, or they use the kite method - Taunting, Leaps, BoP's, Bubbles.

Tank her on one side of the platform, get a hunter on the other side and when she starts casting focused assault, let the hunter taunt her with his Distracting Shot - Spell - World of Warcraft . Since focused assault is a 5 second cast, the hunter can feign death after she has walked for 2.5 seconds Taunting back may also work.

You cant taunt raidbosses anymore as hunter since halfus heroic.

Intended + you are suppose to solo tank hagara on HC and probably normal to. NEVER killed it with 1 tank, always done it with 1 in both normal and HC.

Yeah sorry OP, hagara is meant to be a one tank fight in Regular mode and in LFR mode.


Most people are just too retarded (in LFR) to actuaily run from the focused assault. even when told to 10 times each wipe.

1 defensive cooldown will make you survive it anyway, unless you have really bad gear.
