New Recruit a Friend Exploit????

A friend of mine..... is doing this... I'm pretty sure it's NOT suppose to work like this.. maybe some of you can help me with wtf he's doing.


Billy(Friend) sells a 1 month time card to Bob for 10k.
Bob logs into his WoW account and sends a recruit a friend to BIlly's e-mail....
Billy uses that e-mail to add a new "trial" account to his battle.net
Billy then pays 1 month to his normal account..... and this gives Bob 1 free month.

So basicly all he's doing is adding 1 month to his OWN account that he plays getting 10k free... ??

Working as intended. If the recruited pay's for a month the recruiter gets a month also. up to 3 months

yep thats completely normal and if you buy game time from alot of the sellers in the trading section that's exactly what they do

He's not adding 1 month to the trial account tho.. .he's adding 1 month to his MAIN account.

Battle.Net Account

WoW 1 - Main Account
WoW 2 - Trial (Recruit a Friend)

He adds time to WoW 1....


isn't it suppose to add time to RECRUIT a Friend Account in order to give 1 month?

both accounts are linked via RaF right? if you answer yes, then working as intended.

Bob has Account 1 since the the start of Regular wow
Billy has his his own Account 1 since the start of Regular wow.

Billy sends a recruit a friend to Bob's e-mail.

Bob clicks on e-mail and then is asked "Do you have an existing account?"
Bob click yes, WoW 2 (Trial Recruit a Friend) account get's added to Bob's Battle.net

Bob then logs in and pays 1 month on the OLD WoW1 account NOT the NEW one that is "linked" on his battle.net

Billy get's 1 month free.

Wouldn't work, he's trolling you. Also, he'd end up with many different accounts attached to the battle.net that could only be removed by billing, risky ^^.

It does work, he did it to another guildie, I logged into his acccount and he has 2 trial accounts added and my guildie (who doesn't know about this trick) got his month... GG ?

Doesn't work, recruited a buddy 5 times. He accepted and added the recruits to his existing account, and after he added 1 month of game time through the 1 month gift card available at the blizzard store to his main account.

I just did it with him again... maybe his account is glitched? I sent him a recruit a friend to him... he added it to his battle.net he now has 3 trial accounts.... he added 1 month to his MAIN account and I got a free month lol he's a lucky bastard ><

I logged into his battle.net and NONE of his trial accounts have months paid on them. He said he noticed it when the free TBC upgrade was added... that's when he found it.

To the guy who recruited the friend 5 times... why didn't you just do 1 @ a time?

I'm sure you cant add 1 month game time to a active account, you need to wait until the gametime expires.

By adding a month of game time using a prepaid card available at the blizzard store, it automaticly extends the time. Example; before gamecard added - expires 11/11/11, and when he added a gamecard it extended to 11/12/11 and the card became "used"

The guy that started the thread is right. How else would the idiots in the trade section sell 1 month by raf for 10k and make a profit??

I also belive that the high-ranked members of OwnedCore is making huge amounts of money on this and do not want to reveal the truth...
