S10 Super Easy Arena Rating and Elite gear (or source of gexp)

This has not been intensively tested (lack resources) so everything I say may not work universally.
So, after literally 4+ years of never posting, I find something I can share:

REQUIREMENTS:
At least two characters at either level 70 or level 80 (different accounts required).

HOW THIS WORKS:
Arena teams can only be created at level 70, 80, and 85 (seems like atleast, not intensively tested)
Arenas can be played in the brackets of 70-79, 80-84, and 85 (not tested below 80)

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1) With characters at a previous level cap of 70 or 80, create the arena team you want to gain rating on.
2) Level the characters (you could do this with only one character theoretically because of the level difference) to the top of the arena bracket level cap (79 for a 70 team, 84 for an 80 team).
3) Que for arena and dominate the usually only lvl 70s or 80s who are queing usually just to see what the arena is like.
4) Repeat step 3 until desired rating
5) Level to 85

NOTES:
You will not be gaining conquest points at non-85 arena brackets.
You will not be gaining personal exp.
You will not be gaining honor.
You CAN gain gexp and grep.
This ISN'T something that will happen overnight. More than likely this will have to be assisted by wintrading if you want a 2.2k+ rating. I haven't gone through all the steps myself (lack enough accounts) but queing against other players will not be quick. There just aren't enough people queing at higher ratings.
You will be better off if you wait until you can win your matches at high ratios (90%+) and in winning streaks. If you que below arena bracket cap, you will probably meet higher levels and get owned.

I thought about this myself last season for some alts, since 2200 is a pain on fresh 85s in greens and I dont have a lot of time for alts.
But I asked some people and the consensus was that if you got 3,000 rating in a 3s team at 70 then powered your ass to 85 you wouldn't get titles or anything.
Idk though, never asked a GM, but worth a try!
Also, 2200 at 70 isnt hard, no is 2400/2700, it is even easier at 70 imo. Since People are GARBAGE at 70 and they play it because they get roflstomped at 1550 at 85. Go watch rank 1 level 70 players do arena it is so funny how bad they are!!

I wasn't insinuating that you would get any title or mount. I don't know what will happen as far as that goes.

The point of this post is to show that you can que for arena rating against regular players at a higher level than you can create the arena teams. If you try and create an arena team or invite a non-70 or non-80 character to a preexisting team, you will produce an error.

You MAY be able to get the Arena Master title using this method, as it was showing 8/10 progress on Hot Streak! when I was casually testing this.

Yes tons of people make teams at 80 or 70 then level up to 79/84 and twink up for high ratings in 2s. Nobody queues 3v3 or 5v5 which are the only brackets that you can get t2 from so this is kinda pointless don't you think? (or at least exaggerated)

And yes I can confirm this. At lvl 70/80 you can make the team and invite other 70s/80s however you cannot invite 71-79/81-84 to the team. So join the team then level up.

If you were to que for 3v3s and (probably out of necessity) wintrade up to higher ratings, this would be an added layer of security to your team's W-L ratio. Having a character at a distinct level and item advantage pretty much guarantees a win..

This guide was not written specifically for 2v2s (it only references arena in general) and, as the top of the post says, everything I say may not work universally.

It's a nice idea for 2.2k but I've tested this before. When you hit lvl 85 your team isn't on the 85 ladder board even after playing a game, so you can't get titles or mounts but you can probably get T2 elite gear.

My tests have been done on 2v2 since I don't know how to win trade.

Sorry, I assumed thats what you were going for.
But yes you can get Arena master at level 70 or 80. I have seen it before, most recently 2/3 weeks ago.
But going up to 84/79 isn't a good idea, your stats scale less. People will get pallys to 73 for wings, or other classes to 72 for weapons, but that is about it.

It's 70-74, 75-79, etc in Bg's. No idea about arenas.

Yeah, i can confirm that they cut the level brackets to 70 - 74, so i would expect it to be 75 - 79 also.
